Nyashimo (also known as Kijiji Cha Nyashimo), Tanzania lies on the shores of Lake Victoria and is the district capital of Busega District, Simiyu Region. With a population of 15,000 people, it is also a fitting place for a growing church that is engaged in outreach and church planting.
The pastor of Nyashimo Baptist Church is a church planter with Nyashimo Baptist being his sixth church plant in a wide area around Mwanza. Qualified men, called upon to pastor these local congregations, lack biblical training and it is difficult or impossible for them to get a good Bible training education. TLI is able to bring relief to a dirge of training needs to help equip these pastors, and many more in the area, to be able to more adequately shepherd their churches.

Course 2 - Knowing the Bible's StoryCOURSE DESCRIPTION
Course 2 explores the general flow of Christ-centered redemptive history from Genesis to Revelation. Major themes that appear throughout—each including aspects of continuity and discontinuity—are God’s kingdom, covenants, people, kingship, priesthood, prophetic ministry, and mission. Each theme is embedded within Scripture’s testimony to the fundamental storyline of God’s plan to reconcile the world to himself under Christ’s kingship for his glory. The point of the whole course is to equip the trainees to answer the hermeneutical Question 2: How does it fit in the Bible? The issue of the Bible’s whole story is hermeneutically potent and foundational to handling individual texts and passages rightly.
